HISD reports 1,695 students

Another school year has begun in the Hondo ISD, and, as of the third day of classes on Monday, Aug. 17, the district reports 1,695 students in attendance.
Monday’s enrollment at the four campuses included:
• Meyer Elementary, 408
• Woolls Intermediate, 370
• McDowell MS, 399
• Hondo HS, 518
Opening day attendance in the 2025-26 school year was 1,720.
