Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) Executive Director Dr. Lewis R. Dinges, D.V.M. has issued an executive order releasing animal movement restrictions in Medina, Bandera and Uvalde Counties (Infested Zone 09), effective Sept.16. The Hondo ISD Board of Trustees met Monday night in the Hondo High School Cafeteria to set their property tax rate for the current 2026-27 school year. The board voted on a total tax rate of 0.9469 (94.69¢) per $100 valuation. Broken down, it divides to 0.6669 for maintenance and operation, and 0.28 for interest and sinking.
