Food Distribution
Medina County Food Pantry does a food distribution the last Friday of the month. Voucher is required - pick up at the Food Pantry (open 10-3 Mon.-Thur.), St. John’s or the Human Resources Dept. Call 830-741-9291 for info.


Surviving the Holidays
When you are grieving a loved one’s death, the holiday season can be especially painful.  Please join us for our Surviving the Holidays seminar on Monday, December 5, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. at New Fountain United Methodist Church, 2980 FM 2676, Hondo, TX; 830-426-4219.  The seminar is free, and all those who have lost a loved one are welcome.


Retired teachers to meet
The Huajilla Unit of Texas Retired Teachers will hold a Christmas social on Dec. 5, 10:30 a.m.  at First Methodist Church of Devine. Members may participate in a gift exchange ($5-$10 gift) if they choose.


Pearl Harbor Day event
at The Raye Theatre, Hondo. Tuesday Dec. 6m at 7PM. Will be showing the movie Tora, Tora, Tora in remembrance of Pearl Harbor Day. Free to the public.

Potluck lunch and music at 11 a.m. on the 1st Friday of the month at Hondo Community Center.

Restore Reproductive Health

Provides compassionate, actionable assistance to people in the Medina County area who have or are experiencing sexual-related traumas. Texas Ramp Project

Anyone in need of a ramp for use with a walker or wheelchair may apply for area assistance by calling 830-426-0624. Volunteers to assist in installing the ramps also needed.

is to be held at the Medina County Fairgrounds on Tuesday, Nov. 8, with the gates to open for distribution at 10 a.m.  Clients will need to enter the fairgrounds off of Carter Street.  Clients need to pre-register by calling the SAFB at 210-337-3663.
