MEDINA COUNTY JOB ANNOUNCEMENT - Medina County is accepting applications for the following position:  JOB TITLE:  Elections Administrator.  JOB DUTIES:  Organizes and conducts elections for the county; performs voter registration duties; supervises Elections department; manages department budget; maintains elections equipment and records; performs other duties as set out in the Texas Election Code.
Monitors and manages the security of election records, voting equipment and other items used in the election process according to the schedule of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. Supervises elections staff members and various temporary elections staff.  REPORTS TO:  Medina County Election Commission. OPEN POSITION The Medina County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications District a/k/a Medina County 911 ECD seeks to hire a Deputy Director to initially work with and under the Executive Director and to eventually take over the Executive Director’s position after he departs which is tentatively scheduled for a date on or before December 31, 2027. The primary responsibility of the 911 District is to procure, fund, install and maintain the County’s Dispatch Center with 911 call handling equipment including the required digital map display. Interested Applicants should have some proficiency in at least some of the following areas: 
1. The Director is responsible for the day to day operations of the district; physical operations and maintain financial soundness of the District’s finances. 
2. The Director is responsible for the day to day financial operations of the District. 
3. The Director is responsible for preparing the District’s Annual Budget. 
4. Experience with the State of Texas or Federal Grant compliance requirements is preferred. 
5. The Director shall aid the primary GIS employees in the performance of GIS tasks related to the mapping of new subdivisions or other parcels. Any experience with AutoCAD software (i.e. unpacking “.dwg” files to extract the lot layers) and/or experience with the ESRI software platforms is preferred. 
6. Past experience in a land survey company, either as an outside crew member or survey technician, is preferred. 
7. The Director shall, when not prohibited by law, attempt to coordinate or accommodate special mapping requests received from the Medina County Sheriffs Office or directly from the County. 
8. Having experience with telecommunications methods of delivering telecommunications services, including any experience or knowledge with the requirements of NG911 ESlnet service is preferred. 
9. Interested persons should also include any education or experience in accounting or Managerial experience.
