Sabinal senior is powerlifting state champion
Mackinzie Wells Edinburg -- Sabinal powerlifter Mackinzie Wells won the state championship in her division last Thursday at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg. The senior lifter won her division with a total of 1,050 lbs. lifted, including 410 in the squat, 270 in the bench and 370 in the dead lift. Wells had the best bench press in the 165 division. She is also first team academic all-state.
