Agapito Lopez Benavides, Jr., age 78,  of Hondo, passed away on September 7, 2026, in Hondo, Texas. He was born December 6, 1947, in Hondo.  A visitation will be held at Hondo Funeral Home on Friday, September 11, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m., recitation of the Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by procession to St. John’s Catholic Church for Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. Services will conclude with interment at Hondo Cemetery.  Condolences: hondofuneralhome.com

Surrounded by his loving family, Colonel Robert Norquest Hancock, Sr. USAF (Retired), passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on August 11, 2026, in Houston, Texas, after a determined battle against prolonged heart failure. He was born, during the Great Depression on May 23, 1935.    A service will be held Friday, September 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Alamo Heights Methodist Church in San Antonio, Texas, with a reception following. George Preston Harris, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, mentor, friend, successful retail merchant, entrepreneur, pilot, and true Texas gentleman, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at the age of 90.
