The Hondo Independent School District will be hosting three informational meetings in the coming week regarding the May 2 bond election.
On Monday, April 13, a town hall meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the McDowell Middle School cafeteria.
A second talk will take place on Tuesday, April 14, at Silver Creek, 8 a.m.Â
And on Wednesday, April 15, there will be a third meeting, 5:30 p.m. in the Hondo High School cafeteria.
The proposed bonds total $30 million and will include, among other things, renovations at all four HISD campuses, including security vestibules, restrooms, HVAC replacements, intercom improvements, repaving of all parking lots, renovations to the baseball and softball facilities, and restroom renovations at Barry Field.
If the bonds are approved, the estimated average cost per household within the district is $2 per month.
