Rain ahead?
A bunch is in store if forecasters are right
The Medina County Office of Emergency Management & Fire Marshal’s Office is actively monitoring the potential for heavy rains this week, as the remnants of Pacific Hurricane Polo drift across Texas.
The highest rain potential is for Thursday and Friday, Oct 1-2, although wet conditions are expected to linger through the weekend, possibly even into Monday.
In addition to the potential for heavy rains, high winds up to 25 mph will be a possibility throughout the week.
Everyone is asked to monitor weather conditions before traveling and to avoid areas that are prone to flooding, especially during hours of darkness. Slow down on wet roadways, and turn around, don’t drown at water crossings.
