Padilla Poll now featured in Anvil Herald

The Harris Ratings Weekly,  which has counted the Hondo Anvil Herald among its subscribers since 1983, and which has been in existence for considerably longer than that, is calling it a day.

Van Harris, who followed in his father’s footsteps, sent out an email to his subscribers on Tuesday, saying that the HRW, which has ranked all UIL football teams in each classification every week over the last half-century, and included point spreads for upcoming matchups, will be discontinued.

The Anvil Herald got on the horn quickly, contacting Carl Padilla, the owner of the Padilla Poll and the Godfather of Texas High School Football.
