Julie Schneider (left) will be Hondo’s new city secretary, as the current city secretary, Rebekah Dolphus, is returning with her family to her hometown, Delaware, Ohio. Dolphus has been in Texas 13 years and has worked for the city since February 2024. She will join the Sheriff’s Department in her hometown. An Austin native, Schneider has worked for Medina County as a finance assistant and in the county clerk’s office prior to joining the city this month.
