Election Day is Tuesday for party primaries; early voting concluding

Early voting for the 2026 Republican and Democrat primary elections continues through this Friday.

Election Day across Texas is Tuesday, March 3.

Medina County Elections Administrator Lupe Torres reports that 3,479 voters have cast ballots from Feb. 17 through Tuesday, Feb. 24.

Medina County’s three polling places during early voting, which are open today (Thursday) and Friday, include:

• Medina County Courthouse Annex, 1300 Ave. M, Hondo;

• Medina County Pct. 2 Annex, 8366 FM 471 South, Castroville; and

• Medina County Pct. 4 Annex, 317 State Hwy 132 North, Devine.

The hours for the final two days of early voting, at all three locations are 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

There will be eight polling locations across Medina County on Election Day, where voting will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

They include:

• Hondo Public Library, 2003 Ave. K;

• South Texas Regional Training Center, 402 Carter, Hondo;

• D’Hanis Community Center, 191 CR 526;

• First Baptist Church, 300 Pearson Street, Natalia

• Medina County Pct. 2 Annex, 8366 FM 471 S., Castroville;

• Medina County Pct. 4 Annex, 317 State Hwy 132 N., Devine;

• Mico Volunteer Fire Department, 7121 CR 271; and

• Medina County ESD No. 1, 135 Stone Loop, Castroville.

Any Medina County registered voter may cast a ballot at any of the polling places. There are not specific polling sites for either of the two political parties.
