Early voting for the 2026 Republican and Democrat primary elections continues through this Friday. Election Day across Texas is Tuesday, March 3. Medina County Elections Administrator Lupe Torres reports that 3,479 voters have cast ballots from Feb. 17 through Tuesday, Feb. 24. Ten baseball games at each of four fields will be coming up over the next three days. Twenty teams will be competing in the 2026 South Texas Slugfest, hosted by Hondo, Somerset, and Devine High Schools, along with first-time host, San Antonio McCollum, with games to be played at Tejeda Field.
