Gonzalez earns spot at state golf tournament

 

      D’Hanis golfer Bino Gonzalez fired a two-day total of 159 last Monday and Tuesday, April 13-14, in the Region IV-1A tournament at Shadow Glen Golf Course in Manor.

     That put him in fourth place overall, and in the second individual medalist position, to earn him a place in the UIL 1A state golf tournament, coming up this Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28, at Crystal Falls Golf Club in Leander.

       Gonzalez shot an 80 on the first 18 holes at region, then followed that with a 79 on day 2 to finish among the leaders.
