Panthers endure tough road losses 

     Two hard-fought losses to the District 28-5A leaders in the past week have dropped Medina Valley volleyball closer to the pack, but the Panthers are still very much in control of their own playoff fate.

     The Panthers lost Friday to unbeaten Southwest on the Dragons’ home floor in five sets, 20-25, 25-23, 27-29, 25-22, 15-8. Tuesday night, visiting one-loss Harlandale, the Panthers fell in four to the Indians, 25-18, 25-23, 13-25, 25-23.

     This week, the Panthers (6-4 district, 17-17 season) will be at home for a Friday matchup against McCollum, then travel to Southwest Legacy on Tuesday. Both matches begin at 6 p.m.
