Hondo girls earn 2 shutouts

 

     Hondo girls’ soccer earned two more District 28-4A shutouts in the past week, winning twice on the road, beating Poteet, 2-0 on Friday, Feb. 20, and blanking Somerset, 4-0 on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

     The Owls (8-8-1 season, 5-3-0 district) will return home on Friday, Feb. 27, to host Floresville in a 5 p.m. match, then will go to Uvalde on Tuesday, March 3, starting at 7 p.m.

     Hondo coach Stephen Rawson announced a schedule change for the final week of the regular season. The doubleheader with Pearsall, which was scheduled for the Tuesday during Spring Break, has been moved ahead one day to Monday, March 9. Game times have not yet been determined.
