Dorothy Hubbard Bendele, born February 6, 1911, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July, 18, 2008, at the age of 97. Funeral mass was Sunday, July 20, at St. Louis Church in Castroville. A Funeral Rosary was held on Monday, July 21, at St. Louis Catholic Church. Entombment followed at St. John’s Mausoleum in the Hondo Cemetery.

Christina Luna Carmona, age 29, of Hondo passed away July 20, 2008. Rosary was recited on Wednesday, July 23, at Hondo Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass held on Thursday, July 24, 2008, at 1 p.m., at St. John’s Catholic Church. Interment in Hondo Cemetery.

Jose Damian Garza, age 41, of Hondo, passed away on July 19, 2008. Visitation held 5 - 8 p.m., with a 7 p.m. Rosary, on Thursday, July 24, at Hondo Funeral Home. Funeral Mass held Friday, July 25, at 1 p.m., at St. John’s Catholic Church. Interment in Hondo Cemetery.

Carolina M. Muniz, age 66, of Devine, passed away, Sunday, July 20, 2008, in Devine. Rosary was recited Wednesday, July 23, at Hurley Funeral Home, Devine. Funeral Mass held Thursday, July 24, 2008, at 10 a.m., in St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Devine. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.

On July 16, 2008, in the afternoon, Laura Jean Norvell, age 38, went home for her Coronation Day with God. Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, July 19, in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, with interment in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.

James Joseph Richter of Hondo passed away Monday, July 14, 2008. He would have attained the age of 83 years had he lived two more days. He was born on July 16, 1925. The Rosary and the Memorial Mass was celebrated July 17, 2008, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo with Fr. Paul Cleary officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date.

John Anthony Rodriguez, III, age 20, of Devine passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008 in Devine. Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, July 21, 2008, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment followed at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
