Newspaper archives

     The Hondo Anvil Herald archives only a select number of items on our Web site.  Currently obituaries are archived beginning June 2001 to the present.   Wedding and Anniversary  announcements are usually available for a few weeks after they have been received and posted.    Most often in the case of engagements, the posting is added when it is received and removed after the event date has passed.   Travels with Hondo Anvil Herald are usually available for several weeks and then removed.   Other news stories and photos are generally removed from the Web site after one week's time.

     The Hondo Anvil Herald does have a limited number of back issues for sale. Issues less than a year old typically are readily available.  Limited issues are available beyond that.  Back issues are not kept beyond 5 years.

     For issues older than 5 years,  bound volumes of past issues dating back almost to the start of the last century are available for viewing and research at our office located at 1601 Avenue K, in Hondo.   

     Microfilmed copies of back issues dating back to the early 1900s  may be also be viewed at the Hondo Public Library.
