Baby Estrella Faith Arizola, of Hondo, passed away May 30, at the age of two months. Baby Estrella was preceded in death by her brother, baby Juan Martin Arizola III. Survivors include her parents, Juan Martin Arizola Jr. and Amanda Hammond Arizola. Visitation from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 1, at Hondo Funeral Home. A chapel Service held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 2. Interment in Hondo Cemetery.

Susan Alleen (Burleson) Bailey, entered into eternal rest May 3, 2006, in Arlington. She was born August 1, 1927, near Hunt. Funeral service was held at Monday, May 8, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Littlefield officiating. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Park.

Adolpho Lopez Botello, age 60, of Hondo, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 23, 2006. He was born January 12, 1946, in San Antonio. The Rosary was recited Friday, May 26, and the funeral Service was held Saturday, May 27, both at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.

Bernard Edward Echtle, age 83, of La Coste, passed away May 17, 2006, in San Antonio. Bernard was born July 6, 1922, in La Coste. Rosary was recited on Friday, May 19, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste. Mass of Resurrection was held on Saturday, May 20, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Interment followed at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery.

Luis V. Esquivel, of Hondo, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 20, 2006, at the age of 62.
Rosary recited Monday, May 22, at Hondo Funeral Home. Mass was held Tuesday, May 23, at St. John's Catholic Church. Interment followed in Hondo
Cemetery.

Ysidra Gomez, age 82, of Natalia, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 23, 2006. Rosary recited on Thursday, May 25, at 7:00 p.m. at the Chapel
of Hurley Funeral Home. Funeral Mass celebrated on Friday, May 26, at 10 a.m. in St. John Bosco Catholic Church, Natalia. Interment in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Devine.

Arlen Gene Graff, age 68, passed away May 30, 2006, at his home in Hondo. He was born May 10, 1938, in Hondo. Funeral service was held Friday, June 2, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with Rev. David Mayer officiating. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery.

Edith Weldon Harris, age 78, passed away at her residence in La Coste, Tuesday, May 2, 2006.
Funeral service was held Thursday, May 4, at 1 p.m., at Hurley Funeral Home in Devine. Interment was at First Memorial Park Cemetery in Bexar
County.

Lucia G. Hernandez, age 84, of Hondo passed away on Monday, May 1, 2006. She was born December 13, 1928, in Hondo. Rosary was recited Thursday, May 4, and the Funeral Mass was Friday, May 5, both at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment was at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.

Frances Roberta Holland, 88, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2006. She was born March 11, 1918, in Devine, where she grew up. Graveside service was held Monday, May 22 in Devine Cemetery, Devine.

Thomas Horan, 78, of Moore, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2006 in Jourdanton. Visitation at Hurley Funeral Home, Devine, Friday, May 26 from 2 until 9 p.m. Graveside services conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 27, at Moore Memorial Cemetery in Moore, with interment after.

Ralph Ray Horner, 74, of Hondo, passed away May 31, 2006 from Alzheimer's complications. He was born June 2, 1931, in Claremore, OK. His wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services at his request.

Eva M. (Earnest) Huesser, age 86, of D'Hanis, passed away May 21, 2006. Eva was born on Dec. 19, 1919, in Hondo. Funeral services Thursday, May 25, 2006, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hondo, with interment in Hondo Cemetery, St. John's Section.

Mrs. Naomi Love, age 79, passed away May 6, 2006, in San Antonio. Graveside service was held Tuesday, May 9, at Evergreen Cemetery in
Devine.

David R. Martinez, age 74, of Atascosa, passed away May 19, 2006, at his home. David was born April 9, 1932, in San Antonio. Mass of Resurrection was celebrated Sunday, May 21, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste. The Rosary was held on Monday, May 22, 2006, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Interment followed the Rosary at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery.

Jerry McKinney died in a rafting accident on the Animas River near Farming-ton, NM, on May 26, 2006. A High Mass was celebrated in Albuquerque at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church on May 29, 2006. A Memorial Service and burial were held in Farmington, NM, on May 31, 2006. He was 68. He was born on Sept. 17, 1937, in Esperanza in West Texas and grew up in Uvalde, Texas, 70 miles west of San Antonio.

Gene A. Methvin, 64, of Santa Fe, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2006, in a Conroe hospital. He was born February 9, 1942, in Kerrville. Graveside service was on Wednesday, May 31, at 10 a.m. at Center Point Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Barry Methvin.

Simplicia R. Olivares, age 95, of Sabinal died May 10, 2006, at Amistad nursing Home. She was born Sept. 16, 1910, in Sabinal. Mass of Resurrection was celebrated May 12 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sabinal with Deacon Gilberto Salazar officiating. Interment was in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Sabinal.

Doris Stacy Rankin, age 65, of Pearsall, passed away Friday, May 19, 2006, in Pearsall. She was born on the Keystone Ranch. Funeral service was Monday, 22, in the First Baptist Church, Pearsall.
Interment followed in the Oak Valley Cemetery, San Miguel.

Carlota Ortiz Reyes, 82, of Somerset, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2006, in San Antonio. Rosary recited Thursday, June 1, at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of the Hurley Funeral Home, Devine. Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 2, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Devine, with interment in Longview Cemetery, Bigfoot.

Leonard S. Rodriguez, age 20, of Moore, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2006, in San Antonio. Funeral service was conducted Saturday, May 13, in the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Moore Catholic Cemetery.

Helene "Lia" Rose Savage, passed away May 6, 2006, in San Antonio. She was born in Poland, April 14, 1924. Rosary at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 11, at Incarnate Word Chapel with the burial at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery.

Bobbie Louise Smith, age 64, of San Antonio, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2006. She was born July 19, 1941, in Frost. A graveside funeral service was Tuesday, May 23, at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home.

Leonard L. Tschirhart, age 70, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2006. Rosary was recited Friday, May 12, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, San Antonio, followed by the Mass. Graveside service was held Saturday at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park in New Braunfels.

Louise J. Schweers, age 82, passed away May 8, 2006, at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.
She was born December 26, 1923, in Philadelphia.

Sgt. Jeffery Scott Wiekamp, of Utopia, stationed at Ft. Drum, NY, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2006, in Kunar Province, Afghanistan, at the age of 23. Survivors include his wife, Ashley Wiekamp of Ft. Campbell, KY; parents, Randy and Kathleen Wiekamp of Utopia; maternal grandparents, Jim and Jackie Triner of Utopia; brothers, Joshua Wiekamp of Ft. Carson, CO, Jared Wiekamp and wife Meagen, of Ft. Campbell, KY, and Joseph Wiekamp of Utopia. Rosary was recited Wednesday at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel in Sabinal. Funeral service at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 18, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vanderpool with Fr. Pedro Molina and Fr. James Dudley officiating. Interment in Jones Cemetery, Utopia.
