Steve and Diane De Leon of Hondo are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Cora Katherine, to James Lockaby III, son of James Lockaby II of Kaufman and Linda Culbreth of Inman, South Carolina.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Wayne and Dorothy Cheney and Uvaldina De Leon, all of D’Hanis.

Cora is a 2002 graduate of Hondo High School and 2006 graduate of Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications. Cora teaches vocational agriculture for Sabinal Independent School District.

The prospective groom is a 1993 graduate of Duncanville High School and a 2000 graduate of Tarleton State University with a bachelor’s degree in horticulture. He is the owner of Lockaby Landscaping of Utopia.

The couple is planning a June wedding in Tarpley.
