and Lanell Floerke of Hondo are pleased to announce the engagement and
approaching marriage of their daughter, Kristen Leah, to Corey Byron
Brittain.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Elsie Saathoff and the late
Chester Saathoff of Hondo and Emily Beck and the late Homer Floerke of D’Hanis.
The prospective groom is the son of Linda and Frank Polderman of
Sinton and Wayne and Kay Brittain of Kerrville. He is the grandson of
Chester and Margaret Ann Brittain and Leslie Allen and Nora Mae Yeats,
all of Sinton.
Kristen is a 2003 graduate of Hondo High School and a 2007 graduate
of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a bachelor of science in
interdisciplinary studies. She is a fourth grade teacher and campus
technology facilitator with Corpus Christi ISD.
Corey is a 1997 graduate of Sinton High School and a 2002 graduate of
Southwest Texas State University with a bachelor of business
administration in management. He is employed by Sherwin Alumina Company
as an operator.
A June 2013 wedding is planned at Canyon Springs Golf Club in San
Antonio.
