Emily Rose Kennedy and Joshua Gerald Kempf were married Sept. 8, 2012
(Josh’s 27th birthday) at the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis,
with Msgr. Patrick Radsdale of San Antonio presiding.
Emily is the daughter of Mark and Debra Kennedy, of Watertown, MN
(their home base) and Washington, DC. Her grandparents are Stanley and
Eleanor Miller and Eugene and Alvina Kennedy, both of MN. Sarah Kennedy,
the bride’s sister, served as her maid of honor.
Joshua is the son of Franklin and Nadine Kempf, of Castroville.
Francis and Helen Lutz, the late Gerald (Coach) Kempf, and Rodney and
Renee Tschirhart are Josh’s grandparents. His brother, William Kempf,
served as best man.
Emily and Joshua are graduates of Notre Dame University, where they
met. Emily is a senior associate for the accounting firm Pricewaterhouse
Coopers. She has worked for the firm in New York City and London, and is
currently making a move to Sao Paulo, Brazil, where Joshua is an
internet entrepreneur. Joshua recently completed a Masters in
International Political Economy at the London School of Economics.
Joshua and Emily’s high school and college friends completed the
Bridal Party. Both of LaCoste, Gerald Gallegos served as the ring
bearer, and Lauren Hitzfelder was a reader at the ceremony.
The wedding was followed by a travel-themed reception at the Nicollet
Island Pavilion on the Mississippi River. Joshua and Emily were honored
the next day with their wedding announcement being chosen for
publication in the New York Times.
The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in northern Spain and southern France.
