Bernal, Contreras to wed
Mary Bernal of D’Hanis and Steve Bernal of Hondo
are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their
daughter, Samantha Elizabeth Bernal, to Rene Oscar Contreras, son of
Debbie and David Nolasco of D’Hanis, and Arturo Gonzales of San
Antonio.
Samantha is the granddaughter of Emily Beck of D’Hanis,
Betty and Scruggs Love of Hondo, and Gilbert and Linda Bernal of
Kingwood. Rene is the grandson of Agapito and Sophia Contreras of D’Hanis,
and Ramon and Velia Gonzales of D’Hanis.
A 2006 graduate of D’Hanis High School, and a 2010
graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree
in applied learning and development, Samantha will begin working with
special needs children in Austin.
Rene is a 2003 graduate of D’Hanis High School and
is currently working for a bank in Austin.
The couple plans to wed July 31, 2010, at Our Lady of
Grace Catholic Church in La Coste.
