Chance Knight Decker and Lauren Annette Dougherty
Patrick and Lisa Dougherty of Katy are proud to
announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Annette Dougherty, to
Chance Knight Decker, son of Kirk and Robyn Decker of Hondo.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Hubert and
Shirley Payton of Mertzon, TX, and the late Charles F. and Patricia
Dougherty of Midland. A 2006 graduate of The University of Texas at
Austin, she earned a bachelor of arts degree in history and served as
the president of the University of Texas chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha. She
is employed as a marketing specialist with INX, Inc. in Houston.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Jackie
Decker Krueger and the late Jerome Decker and the late Jim and Crickett
Amberson, all of Hondo. Chance earned his bachelor of science degree in
geography from Texas A&M University in 2006. He received his juris
doctorate in 2009 from The University of Houston Law Center. He is
employed as a commercial litigation attorney at Looper Reed and McGraw,
PC in Houston.
A September 2010 wedding is planned at St. Luke’s
United Methodist Church in Houston.
