Sarah Elizabeth Jay, daughter of Roger and Donna Jay of Georgetown, and Brad Wood Walker, son of John and June Walker of Kingwood, were united in matrimony in an afternoon ceremony May 15, 2010, at Central Baptist Church in Round Rock. The bride’s youth pastor, Allen Frans officiated.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and was escorted down the aisle by her father. She wore a white, all-over beaded lace gown, featuring cap sleeves, an empire waist and a chapel-length train. She wore her mother’s chapel-length veil, trimmed with lace edging.

Her attendants wore navy, floor-length dresses. Maid of honor was Abby Holland of Houston, a college roommate. Matrons of honor were Ruth Anne Bodwell of Okinawa, Japan, and Bethany Jimenez of Carrizo Springs, both sisters of the bride. Her bridesmaids were Jennifer Walker and Laura Walker both of Kingwood, sisters of the groom; Pamela Hudson of Round Rock, a lifetime friend; and Breanna Wilkins of Abilene, her college roommate.

Flower girls were Savannah and Hannah Perry, both of Denton, cousins of the bride. Ringbearers were Curtis Wiemers of Hondo, cousin of the bride, and Elias Bodwell of Okinawa, Japan, nephew of the bride.

The groom’s best man was Casey Mott of Houston, a college roommate. Groomsmen were college roommates Sam Abel, Kevin Davis and Adam Browning, all of Abilene. Usher was Emmanuel Jimenez of Carrizo Springs, brother-in-law of the bride.

The bride’s grandparents are Olen and Fay Dell Wiemers of Hondo; as well as James and Roma Jay and Jim and Laura Hynes, all of Aiken, SC.

The bride attended high school at Round Rock Christian Academy. After graduation, she attended and graduated from Abilene Christian University May 2010 with a B.S in Nutrition.

The groom’s grandparents are Wyatt and Margaret Walker of Kingwood and Bennie and Joyce Wood of Caulksville, AR; great-grandmother is Evelyn Martrin of Caulksville, AR.

The groom graduated from Kingwood High School, then attended and graduated from Abilene Christian University December 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. He is a pilot for Colgan Air.
