RENEWING OLD FRIENDSHIPS… Bobbie Christopher of Hondo (seated) shares a recent Anvil Herald with old friends from the 1960s, when she and her family lived in New Jersey. Catching up with her in Augusta, GA, are (from left) Chuck Teeters Jr., Chuck Sr., Billy Teeters and (far right) Jean Teeters and daughter (to Jean’s right), Mary Beth Teeters, all of Georgia. Five of Bobbie’s seven kids, (from left center) Diane Cosgrove of Hondo; Mike (Cypress, TX), David (Kingsville) and Steve Christopher (Claremore, OK) and (kneeling) Judy Christopher Parks (Onalaska, WA); traveled from their various homes to attend the gathering. Following the reunion, Bobbie and daughters went on to Savannah to attend the annual Retired Easter Pilots Association Convention at the Hilton De Soto. While there, they toured the historic city on a trolley, visited the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum, ate at Paula Deens’ The Lady and Sons restaurant as well as at The Pirate’s House, and renewed old friendships with the retired pilots Bobbie’s late husband, Chris, flew with as an Eastern Air Lines captain.
