TAKS testing coming up next week

    The upcoming week of April 16-20 is TAKS testing week in Hondo and around the state of Texas.
    Students in grades 3 to 11 will be taking the tests during the week, and the HISD's assistant superintendent offers a few tips for parents.
    "It's important that all students get a good night's sleep each night before the test," said Clay Rosenbaum, who will become superintendent in
July, after the retirement of Clyde Parsons.
    "They should eat a good breakfast to start each day, and students need to remember that no cell phones will be allowed in classrooms during the tests," Rosenbaum added.
