HISD Child Nutrition Services will hold a Community Forms
Night on Thursday (today), Aug. 14, 6-8 p.m. at Woolls
Intermediate School Cafeteria. At this time, you can fill out
and turn in the following forms: Federal School Meals Program
Family Application, Account Restriction Forms, and, Special
Dietary Needs Form (Exhibit B).
All forms will be available on Forms Night or you can
download it from the district website to bring with you. Funds
can also be placed into your student’s accounts. Contact

Sabinal ISD Town Hall
Sabinal ISD Superintendent Richard W. Grill is holding the
annual back to school Town Hall Meeting, Tues., Aug. 19, at 6
p.m. in the cafeteria. This meeting is open to all stakeholders
in the area as several topics regarding Sabinal ISD and public

Sons of Confederate Veterans and Order of the Confederate

6th Grade Boot Camp
Incoming 6th grade students and parents are invited to attend
McDowell Middle School’s 6th Grade Boot Camp to be held on
Thursday, Aug. 21 from 2-4 p.m. Students will be able to pick up
their schedules and tour the campus. Parents will also be given
the opportunity to address questions to McDowell administrators

The first meeting of the newly forming Medina County Predator
Control Co-op will be held Saturday, Aug. 23, 6 p.m., at South

The Red Hat Society meets on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at El Azteca
Restaurante in downtown Hondo. The meeting will begin at 11:30
a.m. Hostesses will be Joy Blanchard, Deborah Leigh and Anna
Tomey. In honor of the Red Hat Society’s 12th anniversary, a
group portrait is being planned. Wear your prettiest Red Hat for
