Bethlehem Lutheran

A service commemorating the 100th anniversary of the building of the current sanctuary in Quihi will be held on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 10:30 a.m. A dinner will be held afterwards. All are invited. (See ad.)

TRTA - Huajilla Unit

The Huajilla Unit of Texas Retirement Teachers Association will have its first business meeting of the school year on Monday, Sept. 22 at Sammy’s Restaurant in Castroville at 10 a.m. A program will be presented followed by lunch. Members are encouraged to invite a newly retired educator to the meeting.

Red Hat Society

Hondo Project Graduation

Hondo Project Graduation 2015 is having a brown bag meal fund- raiser at the Hondo vs Devine game on Friday, Sept. 26. The $7 meal includes a hamburger with fixings, chips, dessert and drink. St. John Festival

St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church is holding a festival at the Medina County Fairgrounds on Sunday, Sept. 28 with many activities planned. The 5K Faith Walk/Run is a new event starting at 8 a.m. Mass will be held in the Fair Hall at 10 a.m. and an $8 BBQ meal will be served from 11:30-1:30 p.m. (See ad.)

Volunteers needed

The Big Event: Hammering Home the Love of God needs volunteers for 2014 projects. Any skill, or no skill at all, they have a way for you to help. Bohmfalk Reunion

South Texas Area Farm & Ranch Club Tour
