Grace Montgomery Allen , age 88, of Uvalde passed Jan. 29, 2003, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital. She was born on Sept. 28, 1914, in Loleta. Graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. M. E. O'Neill officiating.

Ferdinand M. "Ferdie" Batot

Ferdinand M. "Ferdie" Batot, 60, of Mountain Home passed away Jan. 23, 2003, in a San Antonio hospital.
Born Oct. 22, 1942, in Denver, CO, he had been a longtime resident of the Hondo/Kerrville area. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society, 1145 Broadway, Kerrville, TX 78028, or to Heart of the Hills Baptist Fellowship, 11 Camino Real, Kerrville TX 78028.

Eluterio C. Camacho

Eluterio C. Camacho, age 81, of Devine passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2003. He was born April 18, 1921, in Devine. Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Msgr. Adolfo Valdivia-Aguirre officiating. Interment was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery.

Irene Constante

Irene Constante, age 79, of Hondo passed away Jan. 25, 2003. She was born in Hondo, Nov. 8, 1923. Rosary was at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27 and Funeral Mass was at 10 a.m Tuesday, Jan. 28, with Rev. Jeff Pehl officiating. Both services were at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment followed in Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.

Gabriel Y. Gonzales

Gabriel Y. Gonzales, age 89, of Hondo passed away in San Antonio. He was born in LaCoste, March 8, 1913.
Rosary was at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17 with auspices by Pablo Carreon Jr. at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass was at 11 a.m. Saturday,
Jan. 18, at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church with Rev. Jeff Pehl officiating. Interment followed in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.

John William Grothues

John William Grothues, Sr., age 76, of Lytle, passed away Thursday morning Jan. 16, 2003, in San Antonio. He was born Mar. 31, 1926, in San Antonio.
Visitation was Friday, Jan. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. and the Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. at the Tondre-Guinn Chapel in Castroville. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Lytle. Interment was at the Lytle Community Cemetery.

Lorine F. Haby

Lorine F. Haby of Hondo, passed away January 8, 2003, in the Regent Care Center Nursing Home in San Antonio, at the age of 83. The Rosary was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, followed by the Funeral
Mass at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church with Rev. Jeff Pehl officiating. Entombment was in the St. John Mausoleum in Hondo.

Willis Louise Loessberg

Willis Louise Loessberg, 87, of Lytle was called home to Gods glorious kingdom on Jan. 29, 2003. She was born August 28, 1915, in Charlotte. Visitation was Friday, Jan. 31, at Tondre-Guinn Chapel. Funeral service was Saturday, Feb. 1, 10:30 a.m., at the Lytle Methodist Church. Interment was at the Lytle Masonic Cemetery.

John Henry Muennink

John Henry Muennink, age 76, of Hondo passed away Jan. 22, 2003. Visitation was held 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.

Jose Maria Silva

Jose Maria Silva, age 70, of D'Hanis passed away Jan. 19, 2003, in San Antonio. He was born in Concepcion on Nov. 7, 1932. Rosary was at 10 a.m. and Funeral Mass was at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, with Father Wallis Stiles officiating. Both services were at Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'Hanis.

Jose Alfonso B. Torres

Jose Alfonso B. Torres, age 75, of Hondo passed away Jan. 6, 2003, in San Antonio. He was born in Mexico on Oct. 28, 1927. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, led by Epifania Ybarra. Funeral Mass was at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10, with Rev. Jeff Pehl officiating. Both services were at St. John's Catholic Church. Interment followed the Mass in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.

Crystal Rose Walch, age 72, of Hondo passed away Jan. 26, 2003. Funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Interment followed in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.

Lester M. Zerr

Lester M. Zerr, age 88, of D'Hanis passed away Jan. 12, 2003, in San Antonio. He was born in D'Hanis on May 24, 1914. Rosary was at 10 a.m. and Funeral Mass was at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Wallis Stiles officiating. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery, D'Hanis.

Paul Zinsmeister

Paul Zinsmeister of Harper, passed away on Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at his residence at the age of 37 years.
The body lay in state in the chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home, Fredericksburg until 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23, with mass of resurrection at 10 a.m. in the St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Harper, with
the Rev. Eduardo Morales officiating. Interment followed in the St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Harper.
