Rosa A. Alcaraz, age 78, of Hondo passed away February 18, 2007. Rosary was held on Thursday, Feb. 21 at Hondo Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Johns Catholic Church on Thursday, Feb. 22. Interment followed in Hondo Cemetery.

Selma Marie Haby Beck, age 99, of Rio Medina, passed away Feb. 8, 2007, in San Antonio. Selma was born Oct. 9, 1907 in Rio Medina. Funeral Mass was celebrated Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville. Rosary was held Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Castroville. Interment followed at St. Louis Cemetery in Castroville.

Dr. Robert P. Dominguez, of San Antonio, passed away peacefully on Monday February 26, 2007, at the age of 80. He was born in Hondo on June 1, 1926. Rosary recited on Thursday, Mar. 1, at the Angelus Chapel. Funeral Mass was offered on Friday, Mar. 2, at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Interment followed at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.

Della Peter DuBose, age 86, of Atascosa, passed away Feb. 10, 2007, in Atascosa. Della was born Jan. 18, 1921 in San Antonio. A Rosary was held Monday, Feb. 12, 2007 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Macdona. Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Macdona. Interment followed at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in La Coste.

Norma Crooks Forester, age 86, of Castroville, passed away February 26, 2007, in San Antonio. Norma was born Jan. 15, 1921, in Richmond, VA. Visitation will be Friday, Mar. 2, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, Mar. 2, at noon at the Moore Cemetery in Moore. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Salome A. Gallegos, Jr. age 96, passed away in Pearsall, on Feb. 7, 2007, He was 96 years old. Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, in the Chapel of the Hurley Funeral Home in Devine, with Father Jose F. Puente officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Devine.

Maria Sylvia (Gonzales) Gonzales, age 58, of D'Hanis passed away Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, at her home. Sylvia was born in Hondo Dec. 5, 1948. Funeral Mass was on Feb. 20 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, D'Hanis, with Fr. Wallis J. Stiles officiating both services. Interment was at San Francisco Cemetery, D'Hanis.

Betty Jane (Nabors) Haile, age 78, of rural Hondo passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007. She was born May 9, 1928, in San Antonio. Funeral service was held Wednesday, Feb. 14, at New Fountain United Methodist Church. Interment was at Mission Park North Cemetery, San Antonio. Rev. Charlie Parker officiated both services.

Josefina “Fina” (Perez) Hernandez, age 80, of Hondo passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, after her struggle with cancer. She was born in Hondo Feb. 15, 1926. Visitation and prayer service was held Monday, Feb. 12, at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral service was at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Primera Iglesia Bautista Mexicana. Interment was in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.

Joseph William Koch, born on Oct. 4, 1919, in D'Hanis, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 13, 2007, in San Antonio. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, with Msgr. Michael O'Gorman officiating. Entombment followed in the Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum in San Antonio.

Marie J. Mann, age 79, of the Schattle Community, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2007, in San Antonio, He was born in Cameron, August 6, 1927. Rosary was recited Thursday, Feb. 22, in Hurley Funeral Home Chapel, Pearsall. Mass was celebrated Friday, Feb. 23, in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Pearsall. Interment followed in the Pearsall Cemetery.

Robert Glenn “RG” Pope, born on Sept. 5, 1920, passed away Feb. 6, 2007 at the age of 86. RG proudly served his country for 35 years in the United States Navy and was honored by his family with a graveside service at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Feb. 12, 2007, which included a 21 gun salute, playing of taps and presentation of the United States flag to the family, accepted by Robert Glenn Pope Jr.

Sue Ella (Trant) Reinhart, age 84, of DHanis passed away Monday, February 26, 2007, in Hondo. She was born in Keith July 2, 1922. Visitation at 9 a.m. and Rosary recited at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, Mar. 1, followed by Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, DHanis.

Mary Ann Roman, age 81, of San Antonio, died Tuesday, February 27, 2007. A Rosary was held on Thursday, Mar. 1, at St. Paul Catholic Church, San Antonio. Mass was held on Friday, Mar. 2 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Interment followed in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Joe H. Rothe, age 87 of Bryan passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Rothe was born May 27, 1919, in Hondo. A Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Monsignor John McCaffrey officiating. Entombment followed in the Monsignor Gleissner Mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with full military honors.

Feliciano Q. Santos of Hondo, passed away on February 7, 2007 at the age of 53. Rosary was held at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church and from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, at Hondo Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church on Saturday, Feb. 10.

Kathleen Frances Pitser Fisher Schroder, age 97, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, in Hondo. She was born June 6, 1909, in Yorktown, IN. Graveside service was at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, at Sabinal Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Andy Tyson of First United Methodist Church of Hondo and Pastor Don Snyder of Sabinal Methodist Church.

Shana Lyn Thompson age 37, of Devine passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007 in San Antonio. A Memorial Service was held at 11a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, in the Chapel of the Hurley Funeral Home.

Mary Catherine (Hoog) Ulbrich, age 86, of Hondo passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2007, in Hondo. She was born in Castroville, Mar. 18, 1920. Visitation at 7 p.m. and Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 1, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Friday, Mar. 2, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.

Regino Vasquez, age 88, of D’Hanis passed away Feb. 6, 2007. Visitation Thursday, Feb. 8 from 5 - 9 p.m. at Hondo Funeral Home. Rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hondo Funeral Home. Viewing from 9 - 10 a.m. before Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church in D’Hanis. on Friday, Feb. 9. Interment in San Francisco Cemetery in D’Hanis.

Hertha Clementina Weeber, age 88, of Hondo passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007. She was born July 31, 1918, in Seguin. Graveside service was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the Quihi Cemetery, Pastor David Mayer of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiated.

James E. Ernest Wingate, age 84, of San Antonio passed away Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007 in San Antonio. Funeral Service was conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007 in the Chapel of the Hurley Funeral Home, with interment following at Evergreen Cemetery.
